Augusta State will honor the men and women who serve in the armed forces at a Military Appreciation Day being observed on Saturday, Feb. 4, as the Jaguars take on Flagler College in basketball.
The women’s team play at 1:30 p.m. and the men’s team play at 3:30 p.m. Several activities are planned to honor the military: a campus greeting to the Wounded Warriors and soldiers when they enter Christenberry Field House; a recitation of the Soldiers Creed; making greeting cards for our military serving overseas; and the honoring of several Purple Heart recipients.
