911 Calls Released From School Bus Pile-Up

It was a shocking scene in the westbound lanes of I-20 Saturday morning. Newton County emergency dispatchers took call after call from worried drivers. People concerned about those on board several Burke County School Buses. The drivers of those buses all apparently tried to avoid crashing but three of them were not successful.

UPDATED: Burke County Students Shaken Up After Six Buses Crash Near Atlanta

WJBF News Channel 6 is following a developing alert right now out of Newton County, Georgia. According to the Waynesboro Police Department several buses carrying Burke County Middle School students crashed on I-20.

UPDATE: 22 Burke County Middle School Students have been released from Newton Medical Center. Bus Driver Angela Anthony, driver of the first bus involved in the crash, remains in Grady Memorial Hospital. She did not suffer serious injuries. However, officials say they want to monitor her condition overnight.
