Math, science grants available to elementary schools

The application period opened this week for annual Student, Teacher Achieving Results (STAR) grants administered by a Savannah River Site contractor for elementary schools in the area.

Savannah River Remediation, the site’s liquid waste contractor, administers the program to support teachers in their work to educate their students in math and science.

STAR grants are awarded directly to schools to buy science and math instructional materials that promote learning through problem solving.
